Play Falcao at MU U-21, Van Gaal: It’s Not Insult
Manchester – Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal, Radamel Falcao played in the Under-21 a few days ago. However, Van Gaal has denied it is an insult to Falcao.
Since borrowed from AS Monaco at the start of this season, Falcao was not able to steal the hearts of Manchester United fans. His appearance was disappointing. Four goals in 20 games obviously do not describe the quality of the El Tigre once so feared by opposing defenders.
Falcao was derived by Van Gaal when Manchester United defeated Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-final on Monday (09/03/2015) ago. A day later, she entered MU U-21 squad in a match against Tottenham Hotspur U21 at Old Trafford.
In the game, Falcao play as a starter. But, for 72 minutes was on the field, the Colombian striker also failed to look impressive even though his opponent only players who are still “green”.
Van Gaal has denied he wants to embarrass Falcao by inserting the player into the U-21 team. According to the manager, it is a way to generate confidence player.
“I’ve read in the media and it is referred to as an insult. I do not think so. It is a professional attitude manager, management, as well as clubs, and especially of the players,” said Van Gaal was quoted Soccerway.
“Not just Falcao (the play). (Victor) Valdes and Rafael also play,” he added.
“Falcao did not react as the media says,” said Van Gaal.
Van Gaal realized that was not easy for Falcao to return to peak performance.
“Sometimes players can look fantastic in one country, but not in other countries. It was not the first and will not be the last,” said Van Gaal.
“At a club like Manchester United, it is more difficult. He has a competitor. He knows Wayne Rooney also played there and scored,” he said.
