Casillas Confirmed Main in El Clasico
Madrid – No name when Iker Casillas Real Madrid beat Levante before dawn. But the 33 year old veteran goalkeeper will again oversee the team’s goal in El Clasico next week.
Casillas just be on the bench when Madrid won 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Levante, while the place is filled by Keylor Navas who played three games in La Liga this season.
Navas itself is relatively not work hard in the game because Levante had no shot on goal throughout the 90 minutes.
Ancelotti’s decision to park Casillas arguably the aftermath of the poor performance in the last few games. For example, while conceding four goals against Schalke, which is the second time for him since the turn of the year. The first is when Madrid 0-4 defeat of Atletico Madrid.
A series of less okay performance in 2015 made many people ask Carlo Ancelotti to stoke Casillas, who had been less okay appearance since last season.
But Casillas did not need long to be on the bench for next week when visited Barcelona at the Camp Nou, the Spanish national team goalkeeper will return to escort the crossbar Los Merengues.
“I have not decided who will play against Levante because all the players are ready to play. Maybe Keylor (Navas) will play, may also (Iker) Casillas. If Keylor play, it was to give him playing time because he has not played,” said Ancelotti at a press conference before the game against Levante.
“If he plays tomorrow, of course (Casillas) will play against Barca, and if Casillas play against Levante, Casillas will play against Barca,” he added as quoted by Football Espana.
“The results of this latter does have an effect on us, but we want to get through it and overcome the existing problems. All the players are still motivated to win the league title this season.”
